Ten Good Reasons to Take Your Credit Card on Holiday

.Convenient way to pay. Your credit card will be welcomed in over 13 million locations world-wide. All you need to do is look out for the Visa or MasterCard symbols and hand over your card. So whether it’s for meals out, presents for the family, hotel bills, petrol or train fares you only need one card.
.Rent a Car. The easiest and most convenient way to pay for car hire is by credit card. You are likely to be asked for your details when you collect the car, and will not be required to leave cash deposit.
.Excellent rates of Exchange. When you use your card abroad, the transaction is converted to sterling at the “wholesale market exchange rate”. This means that you will benefit from a better exchange rate than you, as an individual, could obtain locally. 4.Discreet to carry. Credit Cards are easy to hide about your person and avoid carrying large amounts of cash. If you lose or have you card stolen and you report it as soon as possible, you should suffer no financial loss. With cash, you lose it all!
.Immediate assistance in an emergency. If your cards are lost or stolen while travelling, you will receive cash and/or replacement card quickly. You will find details on the back of your card to report the loss and the company you are with will give you the help you need.
.Travel Accident Insurance Cover. Paying for a journey either at home or abroad using your credit card will entitle you and your family to Free Travel Accident Insurance during the journey.
.Currency available 24 hours a day. You can obtain cash abroad, day or night, from over 300,000 cash dispensers world-wide, or alternatively, across the counter of any Bank that displays the MasterCard or Visa symbols.
.Avoids buying cash before setting off. No more having to estimate how much money you are likely to need on your trip, or worries that you may run short. What’s more, if you have over-estimated you won’t have to visit the Bank again when you’re home to change the foreign currency back to sterling.
.Remember two cards are better than 1! It is possible to have an additional cardholder on your card account. Get one for your partner so you can share the benefits.
10. Day to Day purchases and unexpected Bills. Your credit card is not only useful for day-to-day purchases but can be a big help if you have any unexpected expenses such as car repairs or emergency medical treatment (which you can then claim back from your holiday insurance).
