Adeje Over 60s Club
Residents of all nationalities are welcome to join the club, which organises events, excursions etc. Contact town hall for info.

British Sub Aqua Club

Alcoholics Anonymous

The New English Theatre

The Weekly Dining Club
Meets every Saturday and Tuesday at 8pm at various restaurants in Playa de las Americas, where they enjoy excellent food and good company. Afterwards they visit local bars and enjoy dancing the night away. There is no membership fee and everyone is welcome to join. European Citizens

Children’s Theatre Group

English Speaking Theatrical Association
We have productions annually and we are always on the look out for new talent. All of our profits are donated to charity. Anyone interested in joining please call Mary Dell on 922 371915.

W.I.N.G Theatre and Song Group

ESTA (The English Speaking Theatrical Association) stages two productions annually, the association is always looking for new talent, Actors and Actresses Singers, Dancers and back-stage workers are very welcome.

Casa Felino
A.P.A.T. The Asociacion Por Animales de Tenerife has the CASA FELINO cat sanctuary in Puerto de la Cruz. APAT are no longer at La Rosaleda, but now have a piece of land. The Wednesday Group of Friends
The Wednesday Group of Friends has been in existence for 11 years and meets for lunch at 1 p.m. every second Wednesday of the month at the Terrace/Bar Restaurant in the Bel Air, in the centre of Puerto de la Cruz.
There are no subscriptions and activities include, besides monthly meeting, citizen’s advice, crochet, fishing, finance, dancing, photography, art, rambling, whist, writing and social events. Contact Arthur Freemont for details, tel 38 52 70

Los Cristianos
The Public Library is now located in the Cultural Centre. 1500 of the 11000 books are in a language other than Spanish. Hours are Monday to Friday 11.00 to 13.00 & 16.00 to 19.00. Annual membership 200 Pts. Books may be borrowed for 10 days. To apply for membership you must present 2 passport siyed photos, a copy of your residencia or D.N.I. and a certificate of Residencia (available from the town hall). Markets
Santa Cruz Flea Market
Known as the “Rastro”. Join locals and visitors in the capital for a Sunday morning stroll next to the permanent Nuestra Senora Virgen de Africa market. You’ll find just about everything for sale. Starts at 10.00, ends around 14.00 every Sunday.

Puntillo del Sol Flea Market
Every Saturday at 5 p.m., Urb. Puntillo del Sol, La Matanza. Proceeds go to the Animal Refuge at Punta Brava.

Playa de las Americas Mini Market
Takes place every evening after dark along the dried up riverbed next to Hotel Troya in the heart of Las Americas. Stalls selling toys, handicrafts, jewellery, leather goods and much more. Also artists and cartoonists. Open until about 11 p.m.

Open-air markets
Stalls including clothing, shoes, confectionery, fruit, vegetables, local & international handicrafts, artists, cartoonists and lots, lots more! Come along and pick up a bargain, between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Torviscas, every Thursday and Saturday, next to Hotel Esmeralda; Alcala, every Monday, near Los Gigantes and Loos Cristianos, every Sunday, outside Arona Gran Hotel.

The Royal British Legion
The British Legion is dedicated to helping ex-Service men & women. Meetings of the Costa del Silencion branch will be held at the Ten-Bel Complex on the first Tuesday of each month, at 7.30 for 8.00 p.m. New and existing RBL members welcome. Duplicate Bridge is played in the Hotel Florida, Avenida Blas Perez Gonzales, Puerto de la Cruz, every Tuesday and Friday afternoon, from November until Friday afternoon, from November until Easter. Players are asked to arrive at 2.00 p.m., and the game starts at 2.15 p.m. sharp.
The game finishes around 5.30 p.m. and the results are available within minutes. An entry fee allows us to give modest prizes to some winners, and a bar is available just outside the bridge room.
