Las Palmas - 28.04.2008 - Despite Met Office forecasts of maximum temperatures in the low 30s, weather stations recorded much higher figures on Saturday and Sunday. The clock on the seafront at Las Canteras registered 40ºC for most of Sunday afternoon. The dust cloud, which was clearly visible in satellite pictures of the Canaries yesterday, partly lifted last night but is expected to continue fo the next day or two.
