La Orotava - 09.05.2008 - Two chimps (mother and daughter) escaped from the Oasis Park in La Orotava and while one fled to the roof of a nearby building the other entered the bar, which was packed with lunchtime customers, and headed for the kitchen, where she caused a small amount of damage and suffered minor burns. The chimp was eventually captured just after 3.30 pm and returned to the park. The incident made the headlines on Thursday night in the Spanish media.
