Los Cristianos - 30.06.2008 - The boat, with 179 Africans on board, was spotted nine miles out to sea early yesterday morning and was intercepted by a Sea Rescue vessel, which accompanied it into the harbour of the tourist resort, where it drew a sizeable crowd of spectators. The 179 occupants included approximately 40 young boys. All the Africans were said to be in good health after check-ups by the Red Cross once ashore.
