Santa Cruz - 02.07.2008 - The city council invited architects to submit proposals to turn the disused ring, which has not staged a bull fight for decades, into a modern development combining housing and amenities. However, the official body representing the architects says the conditions set are inappropriate and should be revised to enable them to present reasonable projects. Meanwhile, doctors in Tenerife have called on the council to turn the bullring into a conference centre to cater for the scores of medical congresses held in the capital every year.
