Playa de las Américas - 04.07.2008 - The African monkey was spotted by a member of staff wandering around the complex. It was captured by the Civil Guard's Nature Protection Unit but could not be identified because it did not have the mandatory microchip zoos are obliged to fit to their animals. Vets said it was in excellent health. Spanish Customs have also been alerted in case the monkey has been imported illegally.
