La Orotava - 16.07.2008 - The attempted fraud came to light when an assistant at one well-known shop contacted police with concerns about the identity of a customer who had bought an unusually large number of items on credit, including several computers and plasma TVs. The bank details provided for the payments turned out to be false and further checks revealed that the woman, who had used identity papers belonging to her sister-in-law, had conned several other shops in the town during the previous days.
