Canary Islands - 17.07.2008 - The demise of Fadesa, which failed to secure a loan to tide it over its problems, is expected to hit up to 12,5000 houses nationwide but the government says media reports that purchasers will lose their money are unfounded. 'The houses will be finished on time, come what may' promised Spain's finance minister Perdo Solbes, who admited that the collapse of the firm could have a domino effect on the property sector.
