Lanzarote - 21.07.2008 - In the latest move, which is certain to trigger more conflict with the local Cabildo (the party that asked the courts to intervene), the region's environment and regional planning minister Domngo Berriel said yesterday that imaginative solutions will be found to overcome the problems posed by the rulings, which effectively annulled the planning permission granted by town halls, particularly in Playa Blanca, for the hotels. Berriel said the fact that the clock had to be turned back to the 'pre-permission stage' did not necessarily mean the hotels could not remain.
