Government promises to legalise illegal hotels The Canarian government has said it will do all that is necessary to legalise a number of hotels on the island which have been ruled illegal by the courts.

Berriel said the fact that the clock had to be turned back to the 'pre-permission stage' did not necessarily mean the hotels could not remain.
