La Orotava - 14.08.2008 - The incident occurred near a popular vantage spot on the road up to Mt Teide, where the vegetation is extremely dry to the warm weather. The man is thought to have been prevented from setting scrub alight by other visitors. He was said to be in a drunken state by police, who are expected to charge him today with attempted arson and for disrupting traffic on the road.
