Beach cleaning irks Los Cristianos locals

Residents living near the beach in Los Cristianos have again asked the council, this time publicly, to change the time of the nightly clean-up operation so they can get some sleep.

Tenerife - 19.08.2008 - The locals have reiterated their complaints that the noisy equipment, accompanied by shouting from technical services staff, wakes them at 4.00 am almost every morning. Several meetings have been held with Arona officials to resolve the situation but it appears that the pleas have fallen on deaf ears, prompting the residents to take their complaints to the media.
