Santa Cruz - 28.08.2008 - The 22-year-old was caught by a radar trap driving his VW Golf at 170 km/h, more than 90 km/h above the speed limit on a Santa Cruz dual carriageway. He was tracked on traffic cameras and arrested minutes afterwards as he parked the car near the Auditorium. Under the new law, speeds in excess of 60km/h in built-up areas and 70 km/h on main roads, including motorways, automatically entail a 3-6 month prison term for the offender.
