Playa San Agustín - 01.09.2008 - The youngster was swimming off the San Agustín beach when he was carried out to sea by the strong current. Within minutes of the alert being raised, a helicopter was dispatched and located him a short distance off the beach at Las Aguilas, one kilometre away. Doctors said he was in good health despite his ordeal and did not require hospitalisation. San Agustiín is well-known for its notorious undercurrent even on calm days, according to locals.
