Tenerife South Airport - 04.09.2008 - In the latest incident, which occurred in Tenerife South Airport yesterday, almost 90 passengers on an Air Europa flight to Salamanca refused to stay on board the aircraft after being informed that the plane's de-icer system was not working properly. The mutiny took place after it was learned that the fault, described by Air Europa as non-serious, meant the flight had to be diverted to Madrid. Although half the passengers agreed to continue, the remainder walked off and protested until the airline brought in another plane to fly them to Salamanca late in the day.
