Las Palmas - 05.09.2008 - Police say they are holding a man, also of Korean nationality, who was arrested on the Spanish mainland yesterday and has been identified as the prime suspect in the case. It is thought he flew out of Gran Canarian hours after the killing, which took place in the girl's home in the Isleta district. Unconfirmed reports say the youngster, who was alone at the time, was sexually assaulted before being killed. The suspect was detained on board a bus which was travelling from Madrid to Granada early on Thursday morning and is due to be flown back to Las Palmas to appear in court shortly.
