Two young French holidaymakers have been arrested in Fuerteventura after damaging a sculpture in Morro Jable.

Morro Jable - 26.09.2008 - The pair were spotted by police in the early hours of Thursday morning carrying a stone arm, which it later emerged had been broken off the popular Canarian wrestler statue in a local park. The damage caused to the statue, which was erected four years ago as a tribute to traditional sports on the island, has been estimated at over 2000 euros.
