Canary Islands - 02.10.2008 - Figures for September show that sales across the islands fell by 49% compared to September 2007 and the crisis is forcing dealers to take drastic action to prevent total closure. The region's association of car dealers says stricter credit rules and generally lower spending have combined to discourage custom, particularly in the commercial vehicles sector.
