Puerto de la Cruz - 09.10.2008 - In the biggest emergency services mobilisation seen in the town in many years, ambulances, police and volunteers rushed to the scene to assist with the evacuation of the OAPs, many of them in wheelchairs, as fire teams fought for six hours to put out the blaze, which started in the laundry room. Five of the residents required treatment for breathing problems after inhaling smoke.
