Canary Islands - 15.10.2008 - The figures for September, which were released yesterday, show that 55,000 fewer holidaymakers flew into the Canaries during the month compared to September 2007. The 8% fall was higher in the case of certain nationalities, including Britons (down 10%) and Germans (down 9%). Tenerife fares slighgtly better than Gran Canaria, losing just 4.6% compared to the latter's 10%.
