Tenerife - 16.10.2008 - A 'cayuco' carrying 69 Sub-Saharans made its own way onto shore at San miguel de Abona just after lunch yesterday afer avodiing detetction by radar. Emergency services were mobilised after a local man spotted the boat just yards from the shore. Only two of the migrants required urgent medical attention for hypothermia.
