Third El Hierro migrant dies A third migrant who arrived by boat in El Hierro on Monday has died in hospital in Tenerife.

However, he died from hypothermia yesterday. Two compatriots died within minutes of arrival and seven other occupants of the boat remain in a critical condition after their 20-day ordeal at sea. The authorities in El Hierro held a 5-minute silent tribute as a mark of respect to the three dead migrants.
