El Sauzal - 27.11.2008 - The St Andrew's Night event is one of the biggest in the sector's calendar. A large crowd of local cellar representatives and dignitaries gathered at the Wine Museum for the launch and put the newly-made wines through their paces for the first time. Tenerife's five wine-growing districts harvested almost 5 million kilos of grapes this summer, considerably more than last year. As usual, Tacoronte-Acentejo in the north led the way with 1.6 million kilos.
