Arico - 01.12.2008 - The 48-year-old lost his grip while scaling the rocks near El Río (Arico). He was rescued by his fellow-climbers, who carried him the considerable distance to a nearby trail while help was summoned. A helicopter had to be sent from Santa Cruz to airlift the injured man to the Candelaria hospital, where he was described as seriously ill on Sunday.
